This policy explains how Lockbox Cards, based in the United States, handles your information when you use LockBox.
What we collect
- Account info: email address, username, display name and password (stored by our sign-in system, not readable by us).
- Profile: avatar, favorite teams, players and card brands.
- Collection: card photos, card details, notes, grades and your wantlist.
- Activity: friends, trade offers, messages and help-chat conversations.
- Camera: only when you choose to snap a card. Images are used to save and read that card.
How we use it
- To run LockBox: show your vault, estimate card values, suggest trades and deliver messages.
- To read card details from your photos and answer help questions using AI tools.
- To keep the community safe and respond to reports.
- To contact you about your account, such as password resets.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not show third-party ads.
Who can see it
- Friends you accept can see your profile and collection for trading.
- Messages are visible to you and the person you're messaging.
- Service providers that help us run LockBox — hosting and storage, AI processing, and card price lookups — receive only what they need to do that job. Price lookups use card details, not your name or email.
- We may share information if required by law or to protect members from harm.
Teens and children
LockBox is for people 13 and older. Members aged 13 to 17 need a parent's or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email help@lockbox.cards and we will delete it. Parents of teen members can contact us to review or delete their child's information.
Your choices
- Edit your profile and cards at any time in the app.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or for your account to be deleted, by emailing us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under your state's privacy law. We'll honor them.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. After you ask us to delete your account, we remove your information unless we need to keep some of it to follow the law or resolve disputes.
Changes
We'll post updates here with a new date, and tell you in the app about important changes.
